There is one that Bea fell in love with as a 2 month old puppy... it has stuck and now the noise it makes is a lifetime favorite.
It's the Pipsqueaks Duck.. link..

I think I'll have to order the "boys" some for their birthdays in May (to go with their cheeseburger, no bun of course). Last yr, my ex-mother-in-law bought a rabbit that makes a boing/hopping noise and a duck that quacks for the kids she babysits part-time. Well, the mom didn't want any more stuffed toys in the house, so my daughter brought them over for the grandchildren, but since there was only two, I was undecided what to do with them. However, when the "boys" heard the bunny and duck making their noises, they started jumping up in the air to get them, so that took care of that .
The only problem with the ones they have, I don't think they can be washed, and after being dragged around for a year, they look pretty grungy.
When the grandchildren were here this week, "Red" kept trying to carry their stuff animal around. He came running down the hallway with a puppy about 6" long with a big red mylar heart attached to it. I wish I had had the camera available.
Maybe, I'll order them this weekend, as they were really good "boys" dealing with the grandchildren. "Port" is sprawled across our bed this morning relaxing. I need to get ready and take them to the park for a treat.
Hope everybody is well.

Mine all really like the squeaky toys. I had to laugh as I had my youngest pup at a show a few weeks ago and another dog was playing with a toy, my pup stole it and then the toy talked to her, she dropped it so fast you would have thought it bit her! She wouldn't play with it again after that either, too funny. _________________ Gotta luv those dachshunds! |
