It's been so long since I've posted, I thought I should re-introduce myself! My name is Sue, and I host this forum. For awhile, we were all very active, but as happens so often, things change, people change and life goes on.

At one time, I had seven dachsies and was breeding them with the help of my husband. In 2004, my husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer and seven months later, he passed away. Fast forward to 2010 - I've since had all my dachsies fixed, and placed all but two in new homes. I kept Buddy, a surprise christmas gift for my husband in 2001, and Angel, a gorgeous, very friendly and loving chocolate dapple I got a few months after my husband's death in 2005.

As for myself, I met someone special in 2006, and on May 29, 2010, we will be married. Buddy and Angel absolutely love him, and for someone who tries to tell me he'd rather not have any dogs, Andy spoils them more than I do!

Anyway, getting ready to go do some salmon fishing and figured I'd let everyone know I haven't really disappeared off the face of the earth. Thanks so much to Mike for helping out through the years!

Hoping for fresh salmon steaks tonight!

Congrats on your forthcoming marriage, I hope that you will be very happy.

Bet life feels different with so few dachshunds, but I am sure they will enjoy being the center of attention.

Good to hear from you stranger. Good luck on the fishing. Congrats on the marriage. And my husband said the same thing about not wanting any dogs, but knew I wanted some, and now spoils them worse than I do.

Plenty of fishing, just no catching! Only got one springer so far this year, a few weeks ago. Going to have some tonight.

Good to hear from you Sue. You have been missed. Congratulations on your upcoming marriage. You deserve it. Sorry you had to get rid of some of the doxies, the I know the 2 you Budddy and Angel are the apple of your eye.
